If you live in an area prone to wildfire, Chartis Private Client Group is there for you. While of course we can provide the level of insurance coverage you'd need in the event of a loss, we know you'd rather avoid the damage altogether.

First introduced in 2005, Chartis Private Client Group's Wildfire Protection Unit is the first mobile service designed to mitigate wildfire exposure and proactively respond to high net worth insureds in select areas at risk.

Our Wildfire Protection Unit offers and added layer of protection for your family and property. This complimentary service is available to Chartis Private Client Group policyholders who reside within designated response areas.

The Wildfire Protection Unit is not a private fire department; it's a loss mitigation service designed to pre-empt damage well before a wildfire even ignites.

Through an exclusive partnership with Firebreak Rapid Response LLC,
an industry leader in wildfire mitigation, we offer:

 
  • On-site consultation - wildfire mitigation specialists visit policyholders' properties to assess exposure levels.
  • Pre-treatment - if necessary, perimeter brush on the property is sprayed with Phos-Chek, the same environmentally friendly fire retardant used by the U.S. Forest Service. The retardant creates a "barrier" to shield your home throughout wildfire season.
  • Rapid Response - enrolled properties are mapped using GPS technology. If a wildfire poses an immediate threat, the unit is automatically dispatched to apply fire retardant to all combustible areas on the property, including landscaping.
